Thanks for your interest in applying to be on this year's Executive Board. This year, the E-Board is composed of four elected positions, which have already been filled, and eight appointed cabinet positions. While we will not be interviewing applicants or making appointments until the Fall Semester, I'd encourage you to go ahead and apply while you've got some free time over the summer.
The link for the application is below, along with the position descriptions. You are welcome to apply for as many positions as you'd like. Position Descriptions:
Membership Director is responsible for maintaining a roster and listserv of club members and heading up efforts to recruit new members for the club.
Events Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all events run smoothly, obtaining meeting space and controlling general logistics of meetings.
Treasurer is responsible for all money that comes into or goes out of the club. Controls the club’s bank account and keeps a record of every transaction. Is responsible for submitting the yearly budget to the SGA for the following year.
Fundraising Director is responsible for crafting and executing a fundraising plan for the organization. Should plan at least 2 fundraising activities a semester.
Communications Director is responsible for handling any press related inquiries and conveying College Democrats’ message to the rest of the campus.
Political Director is responsible for coordinating any political activities the club takes part in, including campaigning, advocating, testifying, etc. Should stay aware of any opportunities to get involved either on issues or political campaigns.
Webmaster is responsible for maintaining and updating the College Democrats website, umddemocrats.com
First Year Representative is responsible for encouraging freshman involvement in the club and acting as a liaison between the executive board and the freshman class. Reserved for Freshmen.
